With the MAU Student Portal, you can:
- Access course information anytime, anywhere
- View your class schedule
- Track your grades
- Connect with faculty through built-in communication tools
- Stay updated
Getting started is easy!
- Visit your mobile application play store and download the "Verity Student" application
- Connect to the school by entering the school code E9D82514
- Log in using your portal e-mail address and password (this was emailed on 08/15)
- Allow access within the application to your camera so you can scan QR codes for classes that are using Verity for attendance taking.

Getting Started
Step 1:
Download the
CourseKey Student App
→ Available on
Google Play
and the
Apple App Store
Step 2: Log In
- Username: MAU Email
- Temporary Password: Welcome123 (change it after logging in)
Step 3:
Allow App Permissions
Enable access to Face ID, Camera, Microphone, and/or Location
depending on your instructor’s setup.
(If disabled, update app permissions in your device settings.)
Step 4:
Enable Notifications
Turn on app notifications to receive check-in reminders and class
updates.
Confirming Your Schedule
- Tap the menu (☰) in the upper left corner to view your courses.
- Ensure all your courses appear correctly.
- If a course is missing, confirm you’re logged in with your MAU email.
- You can add courses manually if needed.
Checking In and Out
To Check In:
- Open your course from the CourseKey App menu.
- Tap the Check In button on the attendance tile.

Follow your instructor’s chosen method:
- QR Code: Scan the displayed code using your phone’s camera.
Tardy Grace Period:
Students have a 15-minute grace period from the scheduled start
time of class to check in. After this period, the session will
be marked as tardy or absent accordingly.
Attendance Availability:
Attendance records will appear in your CourseKey App within 48
hours after each class session.
To Check Out:
You will be checked out automatically at the end of your class
session.
Technical Tips
- Keep your CourseKey App and device OS updated for best performance.
- Set automatic updates on your phone to avoid login or syncing issues.
- Ensure your device is charged before class to avoid missed check-ins.

Common Issues (FAQ)
- “Wrong QR Code!” → Instructor may be in the wrong session or using an old code. Notify them.
- Camera not scanning? → Check lighting, clean your lens, and ensure permissions are enabled.
- Can’t check in? → Make sure your app permissions and device settings allow access to camera/location.
