New English Proficiency Option: Duolingo Certification
Starting from the upcoming academic year, international students aiming to apply to Millennia Atlantic University will have the option to take Duolingo’s English Proficiency Certification. This strategic partnership ensures that MAU students meet the highest standards of English proficiency, facilitating a smoother transition into university life. Duolingo’s English Proficiency Certification is recognized globally for its accuracy and convenience. The test is designed to assess the essential language skills needed for academic success, and it provides a reliable measure of a student’s ability to communicate effectively in English.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to Millennia Atlantic University, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
– Standard High School Diploma or Recognized Equivalent – such as G.E.D.
– Non-Refundable Application Fee of $50
– 2 copies of photo ID
Additionally, English Proficiency Requirements for Non-Native Speakers must be met. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:
– TOEFL®: A minimum score of 61 on the Internet-based Test (iBT), 173 on the Computer-based Test, or 500 on the Paper-based Test.
– IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.0.
– Duolingo English Test: A minimum score of 95.

- Create an Account: Sign up with your email. Register here.
- Practice for Free: Take the Practice Test until you feel ready (a minimum score of 95 is required).
- Purchase the Test: Pay for the test through the Duolingo English Test website using your credit card. Purchase your test here.
- Search for MAU: Type in Millennia Atlantic University in the search bar and then select graduate or undergraduate programs. You’ll find the institutions list here.
- Take the Test: When you’re ready, take the test. Your scores will automatically be sent to MAU. You can also send your test results to admissions@maufl.edu.
