On a remarkable evening in July 2024, the Millennia Atlantic University (MAU) Alumni Association hosted a memorable event filled with celebration and inspiration. The MAU Alumni Association, a 501C3 non-profit organization, fosters lasting relationships between the university and its graduates. Donations and sponsorships are tax-deductible and directly benefit the MAU scholarship fund and various programs students and the broader Doral community enjoy.

Meet the Directors
Gustavo Garagorry, President
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Gustavo holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from MAU. With over 20 years of experience in IT and systems, he has played a significant role in the Venezuelan IT industry and is now dedicated to enhancing community relations in Doral, Florida.
Dr. Gary Markowitz, Director
Dr. Markowitz is an entrepreneur and higher education leader. Having served as President of Keiser University’s Miami Campus and Senior Vice President of Education for Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, his passion for education continues through consulting and supporting MAU.
Luis David Ramirez, Director
A mechanical engineer with extensive experience in management consulting, Luis is also a faculty member at MAU, teaching various subjects at the graduate level and contributing to the Venezuelan-American business community.
Maria Cruz, Treasurer
Maria, originally from Mexico City, has a rich background in accounting and auditing. She earned her MBA from MAU in 2015 and continues to excel in accounting roles within the university.
Natalia Cruz, Director
Natalia, a dedicated professional based in Doral, FL, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from MAU and is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Business Management. Her career at MAU spans roles in marketing and admissions, showcasing her commitment to student success.

– Organized and promoted 25 MAU Talks featuring diverse community speakers.

– Contributed significantly to MAU’s receipt of the School of Excellence Award.
– Maintained an efficient program expense ratio of approximately 92%.
