Doral, Fla. — The Millennia Atlantic University Alumni Association is hosting its inaugural Golden Gala celebration in recognition of MAU alumni and supporters of the university.
“A Latin Night at Doral” is scheduled for March 12 at the InterContinental Hotel located at 2505 NW 87th Avenue in Doral. The festivities, which will include a DJ and a presentation from Doral City Councilman Pete Cabrera, begin at 6 p.m.
“We’ve created an annual event that will celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni and provide an opportunity for friends of the university to gather together and enjoy a wonderful evening,” said Dr. Aristides Maza Duerto, president of MAU and a member of the alumni association board of directors. “One of the alumni association’s goals is to increase support for scholarships, and this event will impact that greatly.”
Sponsors for the Golden Gala include TBB International Bank and the Doral Contemporary Art Museum. Proceeds will benefit the MAU scholarship fund as well as programming enjoyed by MAU students and the larger Doral community. The MAU Alumni Association is a 501c non-profit organization, making ticket purchases and sponsorships tax deductible.
Single tickets are $200 each, with a table of 10 available for $1900. There are multiple tiers of sponsorships opportunities as well.
