The Associate of Science Business Administration degree program is 60 semester hours in duration. The program is made up of two components. The first consists of 24 semester credit hours of general education. All of the courses are required. The coursework in the general education component is designed to be broad based and consists of coursework in areas such as the social sciences, mathematics, economics, English, and psychology. The second component is made up of 36 semester credit hours that provide a core of business management courses that are required for all students within the program. This business core component provides a strong emphasis in management, business law, ethics, human resources, marketing, advertising and accounting among other business related areas of study.
The program trains the student for employment upon successful completion in positions such as an office manager, operations manager, sales representative, administrative assistant, small business owner, advertising sales agent, retail manager, transportation manager, marketing associate, associate manager, business clerk, and human resource assistant.
