The objective of the Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Technology program is to provide students with a base knowledge of healthcare and management. The skills developed at MAU will prepare our students for professional progression in a healthcare organization such as a medical office, clinic, nursing home or other health facility.

The program consists of three modules. The first consists of general education courses designed to be broad based. The second module is the core business courses required of all students. The final module focuses on the fundamentals of Healthcare Administration and Management such as medical and pharmaceutical terminology, anatomy and physiology, healthcare law and finance, and long-term managed care.
