Irma left wreckage in its passage through the Caribbean and Florida. Over 6 million people were ordered to evacuate the state, being this the largest evacuation in history. But together we can now help those in need.

Governor Rick Scott said that the American Red Cross is asking for volunteers to help out in Florida. They estimate that they need about 17,000 volunteers. Local shelters are also asking for help.

If you want to join as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, start by signing up here and filling out your contact information and a brief criminal background check. For other ways to volunteer, you can click here and find volunteering activities in your area.

Do you have a room available? On Airbnb you can offer free housing for Hurricane Irma evacuees. On GoFundMe you will also find different campaigns to help the victims.

It’s time that we all get together to help the most needed. It’s time to unite as a community and collaborate in any way we can.
