Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

As a result of the still ongoing severe weather conditions related to Hurricane Irma, MAU activities and classes will remain cancelled on Monday, September 11, following the Miami-Dade Public School System policy. Once the weather has cleared we will notify our students, as we resume normal business hours.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

Hurricane Irma has already become the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic. Its winds already surpass 185mph and are estimated to hit Florida by the end of the week.

Dennis Feltgen, director of the NHC (National Hurricane Center), said that "hurricane winds will start to feel on Saturday, but the worst will come on Sunday."

In preparation for the impending severe weather conditions related to Hurricane Irma, MAU activities and classes will remain normal today and cancelled from Thursday 7 through the weekend. Once the weather has cleared we will notify our students, as we resume normal business hours.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

Hurricane Irma is now a Category 5 hurricane according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC). Authorities estimate that it will affect Florida by the end of this week and the NHC informed that everyone should be preparing for a possible impact from a major hurricane through the end of the week.

Irma is currently north of the Leeward Islands on the Caribbean, but at any time the storm might impact South Florida in the fallowing week. The Millennia Atlantic University (MAU) Management Team continues to monitor the path of Hurricane Irma and base on that it has made the following decision:

All MAU classes and activities are cancelled from Thursday, Sept. 7, through the weekend following the Miami Dade Public School System.
