Spanish-Speaking Students
Millennia Atlantic University recognizes and understands the needs of our Spanish-speaking, freshman students who may initially struggle with an English-only curriculum.
To accommodate these students, MAU offers a conditional undergraduate admissions program for Spanish-speaking freshman. Select courses are available to be taught in Spanish for the student’s first year at MAU.
This provides our Spanish-speaking students with the attention, support and the confidence they need to be successful in their chosen program.
To obtain regular, degree seeking status, these students must obtain a passing score of 61 or higher on the TOEFL test, or successfully complete English Composition I and II with a minimum grade point of 3.0 at the conclusion of the student’s year-long conditional enrollment.
Spanish-Speaking Undergraduate Requirements for Conditional Enrollment Status
1. Must achieve a qualifying score (from 45-60) on the TOEFL or score comparably on a similar test
2. Must take two remedial English language courses per academic year
