A Message from the President

As our university continues to grow from its humble beginning, the faculty, staff, and administration at MAU remain focused on helping each of student realize his or her true potential.

Below, is a brief summary of our past and a glimpse into our future:

The year 2010 marked an important milestone in the history of MAU as the university was obtained its grant of accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to offer associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees. MAU was also approved to grant financial aid for those who qualify for certain programs, and became certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to enroll non-immigrant alien students by issuing I-20 forms.

During 2011, the university introduced new continuing education courses. These accomplishments secure the university’s standing as an international institution with a local focus, provide a basis for long-term stability, and demonstrate our continuing commitment to diversity. Additionally, our MBA program has been available online since fall 2011, and we are proud to announce that our first student from this program graduated last fall 2012. The online MBA program provides students with greater flexibility and access to their coursework and instructors using the latest online technology.

During 2012, the university experienced a significant increase in the number of enrolled students. This motivated the board members to relocate the university to an impressive new 13,000 square-foot building in Doral that promises the increased benefits to our current and future students by providing additional classroom space, enhanced student services, and a larger library. This new campus that we enjoy provides 12 classrooms complete, with Smartboards technology and built-in audio/video capabilities, a larger library, an indoor student lounge with an outdoor patio secure Wi-Fi throughout the building, easy access from major expressways, convenient free parking, a golf course across the street, affordable tuition, and a friendly and close-knit family oriented environment. Within walking distance there is a LA Fitness Center facility, Starbucks, and shopping centers. The new campus is adjacent to the U.S. Southern Military Command facility. Our LEED Certified interior modifications conserve water and electricity. We offer state-of-the-art, comfortable classrooms with separate heating & cooling systems. The future is here today at MAU.

These accomplishments further secure the university’s standing as an international institution with a local focus, provide a basis for long-term stability, and demonstrate our continuing commitment to diversity.
